Angel Tree

Extend our parish’s generosity to those in need and during the Christmas season. Angel Tree coordinates with several social service agencies to provide Christmas gifts to families most in need. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available.

Casa Guadalupana

Consider volunteering at Casa Guadalupana. Since 1999, they have served the immigrant community through primarily volunteer-driven programs, offering shelter to Latina women and families who are homeless, in crisis or temporarily unable to meet their most basic human needs. Food Collections

Drivers are needed to deliver food from the parish to Francis Basket Food Market. The parish food market collection is the first full weekend of each month.

Loaves and Fishes

Assist with serving food at Dorothy Day or St. Matthew’s. Three groups from Lumen Christi regularly volunteer, and new help is always needed and welcome! Contact one of the coordinators below with your interest, depending on the time you are available to serve.

Social Justice Committee

Promote the Gospel message of justice and charity in our service to our parish, neighborhood, and world community. In partnership with several faith based social justice organizations, we seek to infuse the message of justice from the Gospel into daily life at Lumen Christi. Come join us! We meet the first Wednesday of the month from 7:30 - 9:00 pm in Lumen Christi’s First Floor Conference Room.  

Urban Academy Coat and Clothing Drive

Coat and clothing drive for families in need in collaboration with Urban Academy. Help collect and deliver winter coats and clothing in November. Contact Max Huber.
