Rite of Christian Marriage

Married Christians, in virtue of the sacrament of matrimony, signify and share in the mystery of that unity and fruitful love which exists between Christ and the Church; they help each other to attain to holiness in their married life and in the rearing and education of their children; and they have their own special gift among the people of God.

The staff of Lumen Christi Catholic Community welcomes the opportunity to help you in the careful planning and celebration of your marriage liturgy. Congratulations on your engagement! Please complete the following form and return to the parish office. A minimum of six months is recommended for marriage preparation. Rehearsals are typically scheduled the night prior to the wedding ceremony at 6pm, with weddings typically at 5pm on Fridays and 2pm on Saturdays (please contact the Director of Liturgy if you would like another time). The wedding date will not be guaranteed until 1) the $300 deposit has been made, 2) the officiant and staff have confirmed the date and 3) you have met with a priest to complete the necessary Archdiocesan paperwork.
