First Eucharist

(includes First Reconciliation)

In order to participate in the process of preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, the participant needs to either attend a Catholic school OR be registered for and regularly attending the parish faith formation program the entire program year before and during the year of the sacrament celebration.

Children typically prepare for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in second grade. If you have an older child, a child with special needs, or a child who has not been baptized, and is ready to prepare for First Eucharist, please contact Lynn Schelitzche.

Children will celebrate First Reconciliation in February during Lent and First Eucharist in April (see schedule on this page). First Eucharist registration includes preparation for First Reconciliation.

Children are best prepared for celebrating the sacraments in their church community through a combination of home and parish experiences. Families prepare for both sacraments at home, and at the parish during scheduled events. Materials are provided for home preparation.

Sacramental preparation is in addition to regular faith formation programs or Catholic school religious education in which the child is enrolled.

Adaptive curriculum is available for special needs by request.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) curriculum is available by request.

All children are welcome.
