Assigned to Lumen Christi Catholic Community in St. Paul. Assigned to minister to the imprisoned at Minnesota Correctional Facility – Lino Lakes. Works part-time at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton as Coordinator of Sacraments. Home parish is Holy Spirit in St. Paul where Deacon Mike resides.
Born in Robbinsdale, baptized at St. Anne’s (now St Anne-St. Joseph Hein) in north Minneapolis. Grew up in Brookly Park attending public school. First Sacraments and Confirmation at St. Alphonsus in Brooklyn Center, married  in 1983 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia, MN. Ordained December 4, 2021.
Married for almost 30 years, with a daughter and two sons. Soon to be a first time Grandfather. Widowed in 2013 as, wife, Tracy died suddenly from complications of fighting cancer.
The prayer on my Ordination card:
May the tribute of my humble ministry be pleasing to You, Holy Trinity. Grant that the sacrifice which I, unworthy as I am, have offered in the presence of Your majesty may be acceptable to You. Through Your mercy may it bring forgiveness to me and to all for whom I have offered it: Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
