Imagine if church was a place where you could talk about important topics and feel safe, respected, understood. If conversation around current issues became a pathway to belonging, to building community.   These are the goals of Living Room Conversations, a new offering beginning this spring. Living Room Conversations use a structured format to help people with different viewpoints and experiences build understanding. It is not a debate, and the goal is not to change one another’s opinion. Conversation Agreements like “Listen and Be Curious” and “Show Respect and Suspend Judgment” and small groups create the framework for diving into the questions.
